TYPO3 Education Committee visits F7
There's a special event coming up this week that I'm really looking forward to. I've been a member of the TYPO3 Education Committee since 2015 and took over as team leader in 2017. The Education Committee is a team that is heavily involved in the development and implementation of TYPO3 certifications. This is where the knowledge and practical experience of numerous experts come together to continuously ensure and develop the high quality standards of the TYPO3 community.
A strong team for TYPO3
The TYPO3 Education Committee plays a key role in adapting the content and format of the TYPO3 certifications to current requirements. Through regular sprints and meetings, innovative ideas are developed and turned into concrete measures. The focus is on dialogue and close cooperation within the community - a principle that is particularly important to us at F7.
Incidentally, the work in the Education Committee is carried out free of charge by all those involved. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved. It is very impressive to see how this voluntary work is carried out professionally with great commitment, which is not always easy alongside day-to-day business!
In my case I am very happy that my employer F7 gives me time off to work for the TYPO3 community and thus enables me to stay involved in the long term. A big thank you for that!
Of course, working in and with the TYPO3 community is not a one-way street; the work in the Education Committee results in a strong connection to other developers and agencies. Everyone benefits, including our customers.
Quality and knowledge exchange
In my perception, the TYPO3 community is characterised above all by the fact that the exchange of knowledge is lived; often also between agencies that are actually in competition with each other. I have never experienced anyone withholding a solution to a problem. A problem that is described often leads to several developers having a notebook in front of them shortly afterwards and testing ideas for solutions. This is another reason why I feel very comfortable in this community.
The Education Committee works on these values in the best sense and supports the continuous development of the certifications, setting quality standards in the TYPO3 world. At the same time, the expertise gained is made available to everyone, e.g. to prepare for the exams.
A warm welcome
It was a matter of course for my colleagues at F7 to make our conference rooms and infrastructure available so that the Education Committee could meet in Hamburg. For us, this is a further sign of our commitment to the TYPO3 community and we look forward to welcoming the Education Committee!
